Heavy Grips Fitness Series - Hand Grippers for Smaller Hands
The Heavy Grips Fitness Series is a line of four hand grippers built on a smaller frame than the standard Heavy Grips grippers. The handles are smaller and the spread is narrower, so they fit smaller hands and give first-time grip trainers a starting point below 100 lb.
- Four resistance levels: 50, 75, 95 and 120 lb
- Smaller frame: smaller handles and a narrower spread than the standard Heavy Grips grippers, which start at 100 lb
- Color coded: orange (50 lb), blue (75 lb), red (95 lb) and black (120 lb), so you can tell the levels apart at a glance
- Fixed resistance: each gripper is one level, which makes progress easy to track
Which Level to Choose
Pick a working gripper you can close for clean, full reps, and add a goal gripper one level up when you are ready to progress. If you are not sure, start lighter: a gripper you can close properly builds more strength than one you can only squeeze halfway.
Because the frame is smaller, a Fitness Series gripper feels different from a standard Heavy Grips gripper with a similar number. Heavy Grips measures resistance in inch-pounds of torque at the spring.
How to Use
- Set the gripper in your palm with one handle against the base of your thumb and the other under your fingers.
- Squeeze until the handles touch.
- Open your hand slowly and under control. Do not let the gripper snap open.
- Start with 3 sets of 5 to 10 reps per hand, two or three days a week, with a rest day between sessions.
What's Included

FAQ
How is the Fitness Series different from the standard Heavy Grips grippers?
The Fitness Series has smaller handles and a narrower spread, and it runs from 50 to 120 lb. The standard Heavy Grips hand grippers have a full-size frame and run from 100 to 350 lb.
Should I buy the Fitness Series or the standard 100 lb gripper?
Choose the Fitness Series if a full-size gripper feels too wide for your hand, or if 100 lb is too much to close for full reps. If a standard gripper fits your hand and you can close the 100 lb for reps, start there.
Does a Fitness Series number match the same number on a standard gripper?
Not exactly. The smaller frame changes how the gripper sits in your hand, so the two series feel different even at similar ratings.
Is this sold as a single gripper?
Yes. Each order is one gripper in the resistance you select.
